Postcards from Italy: Rose's Euro Summer

Our Co-Founder Rose has just returned from a month-long trip to Italy and we were eager to pick her brain on her top spots, travel tips and what was high on her wardrobe rotation. Get ready for a virtual vacay - we're still feeling incredibly envious of her travels.

You just returned from your month-long euro summer trip, how was it?!

It was so, so special! I absolutely adored spending so much time with my family. It really felt like my kids blossomed from our constant attention and it didn't take us long to get into our holiday groove. With daily adventures that revolved around the beach, wine, and food - everyone was in their element!

Tell us about your favourite spots that you visited - any stand out locations that were extra special?

Sicily was incredible! I think we all fell head over heels in love with Scopello, which felt a little more out of the tourist trap. I also loved Puglia. We stayed in a traditional trulli which was hundreds of years old and felt like a fairy house! Spending a week in Greece with just my husband and my kids was also a highlight. I couldn't pick which island was better - Paros or Naxos! The beaches, food, shopping, and Greek wine were just amazing. I wish I bought more jewellery in Paros.

Rose's Favourite Places To Stay

In Scopello - Villa Cialoma

In Tuscany - Villa Anticopozzo

In Puglia - Trulli & Dimore - Trulli di Montaltino

In Paros - Pyrgaki Hotel

Which NLB pieces got a real work out while you were over there?

I lived in Casanova! Particularly the Liberty shirt dress and the Leisure mini. Such fun holiday prints! And super comfy.

You travelled with your whole family - any tried & tested tips you'd like to share when it comes to travelling in a group, and with kids?!

Make sure your accomodation has a pool! It was the best reset at the end of the day, and some of my favourite memories were made around it. Kids are moody! You just have to go with the flow and make every outing an adventure for them. Italy is a great place to travel to as my kids just loved the food, and the Italians love kids!
