When we find someone whose approach to style really is 'more is more', we know we've found a kindred spirit! Meet colour queen @lookofmermaid, who resides in the beautiful Fuerteventura, which is part of the Canary Islands, off the mainland of Spain. We're forever inspired by her flamboyant ways styling our prints to absolute perfection with her bold accessories on her travels!

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF - WHO YOU ARE, WHERE YOU’RE FROM AND WHAT SETS YOUR SOUL ON FIRE?

"I'm Joanna, I was born in Poland, but I moved abroad around 10 years ago. I spent a few years in UK, Gibraltar and Cyprus, but for the last 2.5 years i've lived in Fuerteventura, which is part of the Canary Islands, off the mainland of Spain. I'm an educated Gardener and Florist. In my free time I'm travelling. I like chilling on the beach, yoga and meditation. I also like cooking, beading, sewing and crocheting. I love creating content in IG showing my daily outfits in beautiful Canarian scenery."

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS?

"Energetic. Optimistic. Perfectionist. The last one could be annoying haha!"

TELL US ABOUT LIVING IN FUERTEVENTURA, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE PARTS ABOUT LIVING THERE?

"First - the sunny weather almost all year long and high temperatures. It's the middle of December right now and I can wear shorts and bare legs. Second - living close to nature and ocean with beautiful beaches. Fuerteventura is Isla Tranquila. Third - delicious food like fish and seafood, goat cheese and canarias potatos."

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST FASHION INSPIRATION + WHERE DOES YOUR COLOURFUL STYLE COME FROM?

"Inspirations I'm finding everywhere. It can be old movies, landscape or people I meet on the street. So much inspiration comes from my travels. I love 60's and 70's vibes. Oversized sunglasses and head scarfs are my fave. I love girly dresses and bohemian accessories, also heavy rock and roll boots. My style is mix of everything [I love]. From each country I've been I took a little piece of what is inspiring me."

FAVOURITE PLACE YOU'VE TRAVELLED + WHY?

5. On the top of my list is Japan. It's amazing country with mix of modern technology with rich old culture and beautiful nature. I've spent there only 16 days and I feel that it's only a small percent of what this country has to offer to see, even [though] I was spending whole days visiting sites and walking around places.

Also I love Iceland. Totally a magical place which I visited during winter time. I'd love to come back to both of those countries if it will be possible in the future.
